Marine Sonic Technology, Ltd. is a small Virginia company with a solid reputation for quality and a bright growing future. Formed in 1993 following a merger with Applied Sonics Corporation, MSTL is rapidly becoming recognized as a producer of state-of-the-art technology.

MSTL produces a low cost side scan sonar called Sea Scan^® PC which has set the standard for high quality performance. Sea Scan^® PC, incorporating many patented and innovative features, uses a personal computer for all control, display and recording features. When connected to highly accurate navigation devices such as Global Positioning System (GPS) the integrated navigation plotter included in the Sea Scan^® PC precisely records the area searched and the location of any objects of interest. Marine Sonic Technology's own Sea Scan® software offers more than just a sonar data acquisition package, it is also a full navigation and processing suite. The software can tell you where you are or are going and can be used to set up a survey route before even getting to site. The zoom tool allows close examination of any part of the sonar record, other tools allow for the measurement of a targets height or length. The data area tool will let you measure the area of an object, and as all the data is georeferenced it is easy to to locate targets accurately.Sea Scan® is much more than display software it's everything you need to acquire and process sonar data.

The NEW "Centurion" Sea Scan^® PC Splash Proof Computer System is small compact and rugged and sets the industry standard for a high resolution, portable, self-contained, low cost sonar system. Designed with the Search and Recovery Community in mind, the system can be operational within minutes and only needs a 12 VDC power source. The software is user friendly and the daylight readable screen allows for easy target detection and identification. Incorporating many of the proven features found in the previous splash proof, the NEW "Centurion" has been updated to provide state of the art electronics and connectivity.
