Septentrio Satellite Navigation NV, designs, manufactures, markets and supports high-end single and dual-frequency GNSS receivers with the best possible performance at a very competitive price. Targeted at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Septentrio’s core technology is being applied in precise positioning, timing, heading and attitude determination applications.
The Products
Septentrio Satellite Navigation NV is a young dynamic company founded as a spin-off of from the InterUniversity Micro Electronics Centre (IMEC), to design, produce and commercialize the Satellite Navigation know-how developed at the University.
From the very beginning of the development of the European Galileo satellite constellation, Septentrio has been involved in several technical studies, leading to th efirst ever manufactures Galileo receiver, the GeneRx1, derived from a high end research oriented product delivered to the ESA.
Septentrio’s product portfolio mainly consists out of the recently launched AsteRx1 platform - a compact GPS/Galil
eo receiver platform, AsteRx2 dual-frequency GPS/GLONASS units and the PolaRx2e family of high-end dual-frequency GPS/GNSS receivers. All models can be delivered as OEM board or in a rugged enclosure. Septentrio products are typically used in demanding and safety critical professional environments.
Septentrio’s headquarters are located in Leuven, close to Brussels, capital of Belgium and of the European Union.
